resources you need to succeed. Responsibilities A postdoctoral
position is available in the department of Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology at Mayo Clinic, under the mentorship of Dr.
Georges Mer. The research focuses on elucidating the mechanisms of
multi-subunit protein assemblies that modulate chromatin structure
in DNA damage repair and epigenetic inheritance using integrative
approaches (e.g., Hu et al., Nature 2021; 596(7872):438-443 & Hu et
al., Mol Cell 2024; 4(5):839-853). We are seeking a recent Ph.D.
graduate with expertise in cryoEM or cryoET sample preparation and
data processing. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art
facilities at Mayo Clinic, including advanced resources for
cryoEM/cryoET, NMR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography.

skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated skills in scientific writing as evidenced from
peer-reviewed publications • Ability to perform and prioritize
multiple tasks while maintaining meticulous experimental records
and documentation A Research Fellow position in Life Sciences (LS)
will require knowledge of either clinical-based research or
laboratory-based research often obtained from a postdoctoral
program. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position
intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals
will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal
investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential
for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed
publications and should become competitive for national research
grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term
Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student
Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic. Qualifications Must have a Ph.D.
in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is
appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one
prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
Compensation Detail $61,027.00 - $74,089.60 / year; Education,
experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity
when job offers are extended.
