Fairview, we are now hiring a CT Technologist to join our CT
department at our Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN! This is a .9
FTE Baylor (72 hours paid, 48 hours worked per 2 week period)
position. The work schedule will be working every weekend, Saturday
and Sunday from 7PM - 7AM.The CT Technologist functions
independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in
performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist
provides services to patients and physicians through the creation
of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality
age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of
practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health
care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the
responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and
regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).ResponsibilitiesMaintains and
prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomesPerforms
excellent patient carePerforms examinationsIdentifies relevant data
from images accuratelyUses appropriate communication skills to meet
patient/family, and other customer needs.Communicates pertinent
data clearly to the appropriate health care
professionalParticipates in creating a culture of patient
safetyDemonstrates knowledge of emergency preparednessVerify
patient identification and documentationCommunicate with and
educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects
of examAchieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient
positioning and use of technical factors according to
protocolApplies established professional guidelines and standards
to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing
proceduresEnsures patient data integrityAdheres to radiologic
safety guidelines and diagnostic testing
protocols/proceduresAccurately documents in compliance with
regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions,
edits, scheduling, and billing status changesFollows infection
control guidelinesServes as a resource for other healthcare team
membersResponds appropriately to emergent situationsAccurate image
marking and digital image manipulation and archivingAssesses the
validity of the test results to determine if consistent with
changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering

Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology
