Pay Range: $69,800.00 - $114,800.00
Position Summary:
The Antibody AI Scientist within the antibody discovery group will be part of a team involved in developing machine learning-based antibody design initiatives. The Antibody AI Scientist will work within a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have expertise in implementing current AI/ML models for designing antibodies as well as the ability to develop new AI models using internal datasets. In addition to skill sets in computer science, the right candidate should have technical knowledge of the antibody development process. This role will have a significant impact on developing new and novel antibodies to meet the exacting needs of scientists in life sciences involved in cutting-edge discoveries.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop novel strategies and optimize existing ML programs to enable input of wet lab data for better predictability.
  
• Apply knowledge of antibody repertoire analysis, sequence databases (OAIS, Nanobody database), structural databases (PDB, AF2, UniProt), and others to design, build, and evaluate new AI/ML models.
  
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists to use design-build-test cycles to develop functional antibodies.
  
• Implement and develop ML-based solutions with active learning for structure prediction, paratope/epitope analysis, affinity maturation, developability assessment, and other antibody engineering challenges.
  
• Communicate progress and project recommendations in one-on-ones, project teams, and company-wide meetings.
  
  Education and Experience:
  
  
• M.S. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  
• Or, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  
• Experience with big data analytics is required.
  
  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  
  
• Knowledge of statistics and machine learning fundamentals.
  
• Ability to conduct model training with Python and other high-level languages.
  
• Applying machine learning and AI algorithms to protein/antibody design is highly preferred but not required.
