The Alula Engineer Intern position requires a curious, capable and dedicated student or new engineer who can problem solve, learn, investigate, and communicate. You will learn about CI/CD pipelines, writing tests, developing high quality software, working within a team, and the agile process. There will be guidance from other engineers to assist when needed and help the learning process to become an effective part of the team during the internship. More than anything else, we like to see someone who can work with others and problem solve on their own to complete team goals.

Essential Functions including but not limited to:

• Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
• Executing tests on source code.
• Analyzing test results and reporting to the development team.
• Working with the development team to correct bugs and errors.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Perform special projects as directed by management
• Other duties as assigned Requirements
  
  Education, Work Experience and Skill Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Associate Degree in Software Engineering or related field
  • Shown history of competent computer science thinking (degree or a body of personal projects)
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in any language
  • Proactive team player, willing to advocate for priorities and approach
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and able to accommodate changing priorities and directions
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
