Job Description Hematology/Oncology Physician Join a leading
healthcare organization committed to advancing cancer and blood
disorder treatments as a Hematology/Oncology Physician. This vital
role offers an exceptional opportunity to deliver high-quality
patient care in a dynamic hospital setting, supporting staff at
Abbott Northwestern & Allina Health Cancer Institute in
Minneapolis. If you are dedicated to oncology and hematology
excellence, this position provides a platform to make a meaningful
impact while working with a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Key
Responsibilities: - Provide inpatient Hematology/Oncology care,
including malignant hematology procedures. - Manage an average of
20-23 patients per day, supporting a shared caseload. - Support
infusion treatments and complex malignant hematology cases. - Be
available for scheduled hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call
duties as needed, including weekends. - Collaborate with advanced
practice providers (APPs) during daytime shifts. - Responsible for
emergency privileges and adherence to credentialing protocols.
Required Skills: - Board Certified in Internal Medicine,
Hematology, and Oncology (Triple Boarded). - Minimum of 2 years of
clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology. - Valid Minnesota
medical license or IMLC acceptance. - Proficiency in EMR systems
(Epic). - BLS certification. - DEA registration. - Ability to
perform malignant hematology procedures. Nice to Have Skills: -
Experience in outpatient infusion centers. - Prior work in hospital
settings with a large bed capacity. - Strong communication and
interdisciplinary collaboration skills. - Flexibility to support
shifts at alternative locations (United Hospital, Cambridge Medical
Center). Preferred Education and Experience: - MD or DO degree from
an accredited institution. - At least 2 years of post-residency
practice in Hematology/Oncology. - Previous experience with
inpatient and consultative care in a hospital setting. Other
Requirements: - MN medical license or eligible for licensure and
credentialing within 90 days. - Ability to secure emergency
privileges with a clean background. - Willingness to work 8:00 AM
to 4:30 PM shifts, including on-call hours, with flexibility for
weekend coverage. - Valid DEA registration for prescribing
controlled substances. - Travel reimbursement for licensure,
certifications, and other eligible expenses. Compensation: - Hourly
Pay Rate: $463.13 - Benefits include comprehensive medical plans,
weekly direct deposit, paid sick leave, robust referral bonuses,
and licensure/travel reimbursements. This position offers a
contract start date of April 13, 2026, for an initial 6-month
