WILL NOT APPROVE AFTER OFFERED. Cannot take every holiday off - 1 Week of RTO MAX ANY CALL OUTS MUST BE GIVEN WITH AMPLE NOTICE, MORE THAN 24hrs PRIOR Special Requirements: This position is responsible for the administration of IV infusions, including chemo, hydration and other complex IV therapies for diagnosis. In addition, may perform telephone assessment of patient condition and determine appropriate treatment for patient under the supervision of the provider. Job Functions 1. Administers parenteral fluids, blood and blood components, pharmacological agents, nutritional solutions and pain medications. 2. Assesses patient health problems needs and develops, implements and evaluates patient care plans accordingly. 3. Advises and educates patients, family members and significant others on health maintenance and disease prevention for the patient. 4. Documents and maintains accurate medical records and reports 5. .Participates in quality improvement activities as appropriate to position. 6. Serves as a patient advocate in seeking appropriate community resources to meet patient needs. 7. Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers, other healthcare providers, and colleagues to enhance own professional nursing practice. 8. Demonstrates competencies in the specialty area of Infusion. 9.
