safe. POSITION SUMMARY The Paint Department Supervisor will manage
the workflow, output, and schedule of the department. They will
continuously improve production processes and team members’
development. The Paint Department Supervisor will take initiative
to resolve issues quickly and escalate complex problems as
appropriate while providing project and line status updates to
management and the paint department team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All
employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and
Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and
do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the
performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a
given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the
business needs of Rosenbauer. Manages the workflow, output, and
schedule of the department based on the production schedule.
Manages communication through department meetings, updating the
department information board, updating status of production
schedule, and direct interaction with leads and employees.
Continuously improves production processes by measuring KPIs (key
performance indicators), determining gaps and areas for
improvement, and working cross-functionally (including
Manufacturing Engineering) to develop and execute action plans
(including 5S). Promotes a culture of open communication and trust
through employee engagement. Drives a culture of quality by
designing and implementing effective control gates and checkpoints
throughout the paint line process, ensuring products consistently
meet or exceed quality standards. Guides employee development by
providing actionable feedback, targeted coaching, and support for
training initiatives. Promotes a culture of safety and transparency
by consistently demonstrating a commitment to company policies,
actively listening to team concerns, and ensuring open lines of
communication. Defines and maintains all shop equipment and
supplies pertaining to the paint department. Works closely with
paint supplier and manufacturing engineering to develop, implement,
and train processes, procedures, and work instructions. Stays
current with industry quality standards, innovations, and best
practices, incorporating into department where applicable. Performs
other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to
meet the needs of the department. Tools to be utilized: Hand tools,
power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, and tape measure. KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to
successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Knowledge,
Education, and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED required. An
Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology,
Industrial Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, or any other
manufacturing-related program is preferred. 3 years of leadership
experience in a body/paint environment, with a proven track record
of managing technical projects and mentoring staff to achieve
high-quality results required. 1 years of leadership experience in
a body/paint environment, with a proven track record of managing

results preferred. 6 years of experience working in a body/paint
environment required. 8 years of experience working in a body/paint
environment preferred. Strong technical aptitude and quality
mindset required. Skills: Language: Able to effectively communicate
with tact and diplomacy at all times to develop relationships with
internal and external contacts to provide excellent customer
service and conflict management. Able to follow written and verbal
directions and communicate new information that could affect
project trajectories. Able to communicate goals effectively to a
team. Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books. Able to
read and understand a tape measure accurately. Able to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Math: Able to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
fractions, and decimals. Computer: Able to operate Microsoft Office
Suite and SharePoint at an intermediate level. Abilities: Able to
work professionally with all levels of the Rosenbauer organization,
customers, and vendors. Able to deal with problems involving a
variety of variables in non-standard situations. Able to
proficiently deal with internal affairs concerning employee issues
and conflicts. Demonstrated ability to be organized, flexible, and
easily adaptive to evolving and fast-paced working conditions. Able
to collaborate and work cross-functionally with multiple
departments and functional disciplines to drive common solutions
and best practices. Able to lead and supervisor a team effectively.
Able to maintain detailed and accurate records. Able to identify
quality issues, recognize changes within the production process,
and adjust as needed. Able to perform simple computer tasks to
obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or
troubleshoot. Able to prioritize work and to multitask while
adhering to deadlines. Able to work with minimal supervision in a
team environment. Able to understand and follow all safety policies
to promote a safe working environment for all. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Driving- license x May be required to operate company vehicles to
move parts needed from building to building for production
purposes. Driving- Own Vehicle x May be required to visit other
Rosenbauer sites, tradeshows, or for special projects. Hours of
work- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally x
Overtime as needed to meet the needs of the department. Travel-
Local x May be required to attend local meetings offsite. Travel-
Overnight x May be required to visit other Rosenbauer sites,
tradeshows, or for special projects. Travel- Prolonged Periods x
