Job Description Job Description Enclos is seeking a highly
experienced Curtainwall Design Manager to guide our shop drawing
design team across multiple complex projects. This role serves as
the technical authority and trusted in-house consultant, driving
design excellence, best practices, and consistency across
engineering, fabrication, field, and operations. The ideal
candidate brings deep curtainwall expertise, a collaborative
mindset, and a passion for mentoring teams while influencing how
our systems are designed, detailed, and ultimately built in the
field. Position Overview: Leads a team of shop drawing designers
across multiple projects, bringing deep expertise in curtainwall
systems as they relate to building design and construction. Serves
as a staff technical specialist and trusted in-house consultant,
driving engineering best practices and collaborating with key
internal and external partners. Actively engages field, shop, and
operations teams to gather feedback and continuously improve design
quality and constructability. Education Requirements: Associate's
degree in Architectural Drafting or Engineering, plus 15 to 20
years curtainwall industry experience. OR Bachelor's Degree (B.A.)
from four-year College or University in Architectural Engineering,
Structural, or Mechanical Engineering plus 15 years curtainwall
industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage a team of Shop Drawing Designers. Drives compliance with
company policies regarding designs, CAD and drafting standards, as
well as safety and security procedures. Participates in development
of company means and methods. Works with pre-sale design team to
ensure effective transition from proposal phase to project design.
Works with the team on the best systems, designs, and components to
be used for design drawings. Reviews current project designs for
consistent designs that are in line with our design best practices.
Identifies design and scope changes and communicates any changes to
TPM for documentation. Assists with training, mentoring and
development of interns, new project managers, and the design team.
Seeks feedback from the Operations, Field, and Shop teams to
improve future designs. Participates in project meetings with
architect, consultant vendors, etc. as required. Attends and
participates as needed in on-site assembly, installation, and
testing of mock-ups, and ensures that mock-up revisions are
incorporated into the final design. Ability to assist in the
development of project drawings (plans, elevations, details,
embeds, layout, tag, unit, parts, take-offs, 3D, dies, etc.) as
needed. Consults with project lead to determine the best solutions
regarding complex, unique, or controversial problems.
Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret technical
information. Ability to work across multiple departments to achieve
project goals. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and
in writing. Ability to speak effectively before groups. i.e.
present at curtainwall conventions, company meetings, etc. Ability
to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as algebra,
geometry, and trigonometry. Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several
well-defined variables in standardized situations. Ability to use
CAD, Word Processing, spreadsheet, Email and Internet software.
Ability to produce technical papers for publication and advance
public perception of Enclos Corp Compensation At the Enclos family
of companies, compensation is determined based on several factors
including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic
location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about

the hiring process. The successful candidate for the Design Manager
role in Bloomington, MN can expect to earn $110,000 to $130,000 per
year. This position is also eligible to participate in the
