Job Description Job Description Secure Base Counseling Center (SBCC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated graduate level clinical intern to join our team as a mental health therapist. Logistics: Position: Graduate Level Clinical Intern Location: Farmington, Northfield or New Prague, MN Type: Part-time (flexible scheduling with after school or evening hours required) Compensation: $2500 stipend per semester available Duration: Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months is highly desired Position Details: Learn from other therapists through shadowing opportunities Carry a caseload of therapy clients in one of our outpatient clinics Learn how to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds Provide systemic, trauma-informed care through an attachment lens Learn how to write diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes that meet DHS standards Grow professionally through a supportive, reflective supervisor relationship What SBCC Offers: Compensation options for interns A collaborative and supportive team environment Weekly individual and weekly group supervision that is paid for by SBCC Free professional development and continuing education Opportunities for advancement - many interns stay with SBCC after graduation! Flexibility that meets the needs of most graduate school programs Qualifications: Enrolled in a master's program in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy Strong communication skills and a commitment to client-centered care Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work at multiple locations throughout the week as dictated by client needs Application Process: We are currently accepting applications from potential interns for the spring and summer semesters of the 2025 - 2026 school year. Intern applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Once you have applied, expect to hear from SBCC within 48 hours to schedule an interview with our internship coordinator.
